About
Engineer first. Clear evidence over noise.
I work on Java/Spring Boot systems in a FinTech environment and keep a disciplined habit: reproduce the issue, collect evidence, document the cause, and verify the fix.
I am Yasas Pasindu Fernando, an Associate Software Engineer / Backend Java Developer at IdeaHub (Pvt) Ltd. in Nugegoda. My day-to-day work centres on REST APIs for digital banking workflows—payments, fund transfers, account services, transaction retrieval, exchange-rate checks, and status or error handling—together with application support when defects appear in SIT, UAT, or production-related investigations.
Before the associate role I completed a Software Engineer Trainee period at the same company (April 2025 – October 2025). That progression matters: the dates are exact, and I do not inflate tenure.
Outside employment I build and maintain Yasaboy.com, a local-first browser tools platform, and I completed a final-year research project on Smart AAC—a trilingual, offline-first assistive communication prototype for Sri Lanka. I have also taught Java part-time, which keeps fundamentals sharp and communication clear.
Recruiters reviewing this site for banking or FinTech roles should treat Java backend and integration investigation as the primary signal. Flutter, PHP/MySQL, and client-side tooling are supporting breadth—not a claim that every surface is equally senior.
